Newbie Runner

Experienced runners know that bad runs happen, helping you appreciate the good ones. But how do new runners stay motivated to keep running? Rebecca Heiser looks for the positive, such as reviewing the data on her Nike Plus app to see where things might have gone bad and how she can do better the next time. When she started running late last year her primary motivation was to have time to herself to burn off the stress of the day. Encouragement from her runner mom, Judy Reed, and social media friends, have helped her stick with it and set 2014 goals to complete the Gate River Run and celebrate her 30th birthday by running the Women’s Running Half Marathon in Nashville on September 27. Rebecca’s advice to other new runners is this…

“Just push yourself a little harder, you will run farther than you think you can.”
