Track Training Schedules

In Jacksonville, where the beaches and river paths rule, it’s easy to forget about the good old track.  Track your running progress at any of the local track club meet-ups – you’ll find rain or shine workouts, tips and camaraderie for runners of any level.

Florida Striders Track Club

The Florida Striders is a non-profit organization of running enthusiasts who love to run, race and socialize! The Club was founded in 1978 by a group of runners who sought to promote running for health, fun, and competition with an emphasis on fun. Locally, runs are scheduled throughout the Jacksonville, Orange Park and St. Augustine area on any given day of the week. The club also supports over 50 Run/Walk programs at elementary schools throughout Florida.Annual individual membership is $15; includes group runs, area discounts, race hospitality tent, social events.

Track workout schedule is Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. at St. Johns Country Day School, with Coach John Metzger

Galloway Speed Group

This track workout is scheduled to culminate with the running of the annual 26.2 with Donna to Finish Breast Cancer Half and Full Marathon. Runners who are new to Galloway running and want to increase their speed to take it to a new level will benefit from this track workout, in addition to the other Galloway training programs offered in association with 26.2 with Donna to Finish Breast Cancer.

Track workout schedule is Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m. at Englewood High School, with coach Owen Schott.

Jacksonville Track Club

JTC Running was founded in October 1975 as the Jacksonville Track Club. JTCRunning is Northeast Florida’s preeminent promoter of healthy lifestyles through running, fitness, and fellowship. JTCRunning is the creator and operator of the Gate River Run, which, since 1978, has been one of the leading road races in the country with four different events encompassing over 10,000 national and world class athletes, fitness runners, wheelchair athletes, walkers, and children. Morning workout coached by J.C. Pinto; evenings coached by Danny Weaver and Paul Smith.

Track workout schedule is Wednesday, 5:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., at Bolles School. 1 year membership and Driver License required to attend.

PRS Running Club

The mission of PRS Running Club is to promote and encourage running by educating the community about the benefits of long distance running and endurance athletics. The Club has monthly social events, annual running retreats, puts on fun races to bring new people into running (like the Bold City Beer Run Series and the Krispy Kreme Challenge), and provides scholarships to deserving local high school athletes.

Annual individual membership is $122.62 and includes a singlet, track workouts with Coach Paul McRae, supported group runs, area discounts, race hospitality tent, social events.

Track workout schedule is Wednesday, 4:30 a.m., 5:30 a.m.,
at Riverside Memorial Park and
Wednesday, 6:15 p.m., 6:45 p.m.,
at Lee High School.
